Oz Perkins

April 28, 2009

I’ve always thought that the mark of a great photographer is his or her ability to transpose the realism of photography with the pictorialism of fine art.  Basically, if they can make a photo look like a painting via composition, contrast and so forth, they got the skills to pay the bills.  (This makes sense in my head.  I’m not quite sure if it came out right here though.)

Oz Perkins definitely fits into that category.  His photographs are absolutely wonderful.
